What you can expect as an Customer Service Ramp Attendant at West Star:
You will be responsible for directing, parking, and ground handling some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the world.
As a Ramp Attendant you will also meet, greet and transport customers around the valley.
The schedule for this position will be Sunday-Wednesday 7am-5pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform aircraft directing for taxiing to parking location.
Transporting customers to and from airport, hotels, and restaurants.
Providing customer support for passengers and crew, including coffee, minor aircraft cleaning, and directions.
Greeting customers with an energetic, friendly appearance.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or equivalent Requirements Avalid drivers license with no violations, approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport Initiative Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.
People-oriented work style.
Capable of working with minimal guidance.
Responsibility Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and OSHA guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer oriented work habits.
Contacts Line technicians and Customer Service Representatives.
Supervisor of teams assigned to shift, Line Manager.
Team Leaders or technicians from various departments.
Customers or outside vendors.
Physical Requirements Lift at least 20 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Requirements:
Mental Requirements Understanding of regulations and guidelines.
Must be alert and aware of surroundings.
Work with others in a professional manner.
Very good customer skills.
Supervision Will work under supervision of Line Manager.
May be required to work independently.
Work Conditions The majority of work will be on the ramp in all types of weather conditions.
Work outside during aircraft taxiing will occur.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used Courtesy van, tugs, courtesy cart.
Hand vacuum, cleaning equipment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
