Prepare food items according to recipes and portion sizes Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits Measure and mix ingredients for various recipes Assist in food plating and presentation Follow proper food handling and safety procedures Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment Assist in receiving and storing food supplies Ability to commit to an organizational culture where exceptional guest service is the #1 priority.
Ability to maintain a guest comes 1st attitude.
Ability to effortlessly create relationships with guests and patrons to help them feel at ease and welcome at our property as they greet and serve drinks at the bar.
Ability to serve drinks to guests.
Ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
Ability to clean and change bar items, as necessary.
Ability to fill and clean ice bins.
Ability to stock beer and wine coolers.
Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled.
Ability to be in proper and clean uniform, including nametag.
Personal appearance and grooming must conform to our organizational dress code.
Ability to communicate with support crew and management.
Ability to have a thorough knowledge of all emergency procedures and how to follow the steps.
Ability to be mindful of the safety and security of the property and guests and actively work to mitigate safety and security concerns.
Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food preparation or a related role is preferred - Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices - Ability to use knives and other kitchen tools safely and effectively - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards - Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Note:
This position is in the dietary department of a restaurant or food industry setting.
