Western Colorado Hearing & Balance is seeking a Customer Service/Care Assistant to join our amazing team.
Is that person you? This employee plays an integral role in our practice and is vital to our success by consciously making a positive contribution to our practice, to our patients and to the vendors we do business with daily.
He/she is committed to provide exceptional customer service to our patients and is also committed to provide that same service laterally within the practice and understands that he/she is not only representing him/herself, but also our practice.
Warmly welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries, initiates intake forms and processes appropriate paperwork, including insurance information.
Meticulously optimizes patients' and provider satisfaction by accurately scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions for proper accommodations.
Accurately inputs data and maintains record keeping.
Processes inventory and assists in ordering necessary supplies.
Manages patient hearing devices (i.
e.
cleanings, maintenance, modifications).
Makes outbound reminder calls and prepares next day charts.
Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information, following all HIPAA guidelines and requirements.
Participates in annual HIPAA training with team members.
Participates in keeping the office and the patient rooms clean, tidy and debris free.
Assists in patient testing and treatment.
Assists patient with technological issues.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
Assists patients independently for some services under the supervision of the Audiologist.
Enjoys autonomy working with patients and anticipating and accommodating their needs.
Maintains quality service with a professional and patient focused attitude, while always conversing with patients in an upbeat, kind manner and creates a secure and safe environment.
Must be willing to travel to remote office locations (Gunnison, Montrose, Moab) with provider.
Works towards commissionable tasks for company improvement.
Builds and maintains relationships with manufacturer representatives.
Skills and
Qualifications:
Basic computer skills (MS Word and Excel) and strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Must have strong phone skills.
Medical office experience is a plus, although not required.
The right candidate must be a quick learner who is very detail-oriented and is able to multi-task and prioritize.
