Responsibilities:
Device Programming and Monitoring:
Program and adjust the settings of cardiac devices to meet the specific needs of individual patients.
Device Implantation and Removal:
Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
Assist cardiologists and electrophysiologists during the implantation and removal procedures of cardiac devices.
Device Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Proficient in programming and troubleshooting cardiac implantable electronic devices.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with cardiac devices and implement necessary adjustments or replacements.
Schedule and perform in-clinic device checks and adjustments on patients as appropriate and directed by providers.
Follow-up Care and Patient Education:
Monitor and schedule remote transmissions.
Schedule and conduct regular follow-up appointments to check the functioning of implanted devices.
Educate patients and their families about the proper use and care of cardiac devices, including emergency procedures.
Education or
Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma.
5 to 7 years experience.
Certification or Training (Examples:
unrevoked Cardiac Device Technology Certification, RCES, RCIS credentials) International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification, required within four (4) years of hire, required Certified Rhythm Analysis Tech (CRAT) credential/certification required within 2 years of hire, required Preferred:
Associate degree or certification in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
Previous experience as a CIED Technician or in a related cardiac medical role is advantageous.
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiology.
This position's hiring pay range is:
$25.
00 -30.
00 per hour, depending on education and experience.
Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
