Develop innovative solutions to solve difficult and complex outdoor recreation problems, issues, or projects.
Establish new methods and procedures that positively impact overall program execution.
Assists the Deputy/Division Chief in development of the national recreation budget including all necessary coordination within the BLM budget office, other headquarter entities, and the state offices.
Assist in the development of recreation resource policy, programs and regulations.
Develop guidelines, technical standards and procedures for recreation uses on public lands.
Provide advice and assistance to state and field personnel on the interpretation of legislative, regulations, standards, and operating procedures.
Reviews proposed legislation and testimony.
Assists with other legislative matters related to the Wild and Scenic Rivers Program under the National Conservation Lands Division.
Prepare and manage agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) and other coordination documents between the HQ and various partners.
