Site Operations Monitor/Technician (Summer 2023) Company Overview Aspen Creek Digital Corporation (ACDC) is a rapidly growing private technology company specializing in data center management and IT infrastructure services.
The company owns and operates facilities outside of Montrose, CO and Houston, TX with more than 35 MW of power supply that is used to host over 10,000 servers.
With the opening of our third site in West Texas in 2024, our capacity will expand to over 200 MW.

To achieve this, we are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Site Operations Monitor/Technician.
Position Description The Site Operations Monitor/Technician is responsible for tracking and supporting the day-to-day operations of our data centers, helping ensure their smooth operation, and maintaining critical infrastructure systems.
This role requires vigilance, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to any technical issues or emergencies.
The ideal candidate will already possess a strong understanding of data center operations, hardware, and networking concepts, however in this heavily growth-oriented role with on-the-job learning.
Key Responsibilities Monitoring Data Center Infrastructure:
Continuously monitor the data center's infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and environmental conditions to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
Security Surveillance:
Coordinate with onsite security personnel on the surveillance of the data center premises, ensuring the physical security and safety of the facility, and promptly react to any known or suspected security breaches or other incidents.
Incident Management:
Lead the response to data center incidents and alarms.
Proactively respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and escalate problems to the appropriate teams as necessary, including calling timely for First Responder support.
Health and Safety:
Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines within the data center.
Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, incidents, and maintenance tasks performed within the data center using internal tracking systems.
Maintenance:
Assist in performing maintenance tasks such as equipment checks, inventory labeling/management, installation and removal of equipment, cooling/filtration system maintenance, and equipment repairs.
Disaster Recovery Preparedness:
Participate in disaster recovery drills and exercises, ensuring that data center operations align with business continuity plans.
Compliance and Standards:
Adhere to all data center policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, and system administrators, to resolve issues and optimize data center performance.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the quality of data center operations, efficiency, and overall performance.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong character and integrity Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a dynamic team environment Ability to independently make sound risk-based decisions, sometimes under pressure Attention to detail Curiosity and ability to learn on the job Effective troubleshooting/problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed Preferred Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field Proven experience in data center operations, IT infrastructure, or a related technical field.
Knowledge of data center equipment, such as servers, switches, routers, and cabling systems.
Familiarity with environmental monitoring tools and DCIM systems.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
