Mosquito Squad of the Western Slope will be looking for new technicians to join our Squad for the summer season of mosquito, elm seed bug and general pest management.
The dates of employment will run from March - October depending on what Mother Nature provides us with weather.
Mosquito Squad is a general pest management company with a large emphasis on Mosquito and Elm Seed Bug mitigation on both properties of private owners and commercial businesses.
We are looking for friendly, hard-working technicians to join the comradery of our squad and run the front lines of our specialized customer barrier treatments.
Each unlicensed technician will work under a Qualified Supervisor to apply controlled pesticides using a backpack sprayer weighing approximately 60 pounds when full.
During our season we will provide paid training in pesticide usage, application methods, and everything safety.
This training is designed to provide our technicians with the requisite knowledge to become competent in the operation and handling of pesticides to eventually run your own crew.
The training will also provide the opportunity to test for their CO Department of Agriculture Certified Operators Pesticide Applicators License, and once training hours are achieved you can test to be a Qualified Supervisor.
Paid Training will include; -Pesticide Use and Handling - Safety And PPE - Regulations and Laws for Pesticide Use and Storage - Operation and Maintenance of Equipment - Applicator and Public Safety - Pesticides and Their Families - Environmental Protection - Pest Management - Labeling Requirements.
Plus, we dive into Biology, Entomology, Insect identification, and fun experiments for our own internal research and development.
Rate of Pay will start at $18.
00/hr.
with no experience, and raises with every new license obtained.
We operate Monday-Friday depending on the weather - Weekends off! We start at roughly 7:
30am every morning and most routes are typically completed by 1:
00-2:
00pm, averaging around 25-35 hours a week.
We are very flexible and understanding with our scheduling.
Requirements Valid Driver's License Reliable transportation At least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED equivalent Ability to carry 60lbs.
