Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description MAINTENANCE AND FACILITIES SUPERVISOR Grand Junction, Colorado JOB SUMMARY Leitner-Poma of America is currently searching for a qualified and reliable maintenance supervisor to lead and grow our maintenance department.
The maintenance supervisor is responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities and fleet.
Job duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities and developing maintenance procedures.
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of maintenance machinery and equipment, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include but not limited to) Supervisory
Responsibilities:
o Oversees, schedules and coordinates daily work assignments of maintenance, electrical, and mechanical operation workers.
o Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
o Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
o Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules Develops maintenance procedures and schedules Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects Performs other related duties as assigned Oversees and plans the layout of electrical and mechanical equipment; recommends and implements modifications to facilities Suggests, plans, and oversees equipment needs and acquisition to maximize production efficiency and return COMPETENCIES, SKILLS & ABILITIES Superior leadership and management skills with a proven ability to coordinate employees, teams, and departments with different skills and backgrounds.
Thorough understanding of OSHA and EPA regulations as they pertain to plant operation and maintenance.
Ability to understand and operate the systems and equipment used at the facility.
Ability to perform and analyze various system checks.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
