Operating from a 900-square-foot schoolroom in Northwest Denver, the fledgling organization collected bread from a nearby Safeway store, our first food donor, and distributed it to Little Sisters of the Poor, our first partner agency.
Today, Food Bank of the Rockies has extended its reach across Northern Colorado, providing food and supplies to more than 800 hunger-relief programs.
Food Bank of the Rockies has 200 employees at distribution centers in Denver, Wyoming, and the Western Slope.
Summary The Agency Operations Specialist is responsible for the operation of the Agency Pickup Dock for Food Bank of the Rockies Western Slope.
The primary focus is customer service through staging and loading products/orders onto the various agency vehicles.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for agency order staging and loading.
This includes arranging and participating in the physical loading of products into and onto the various partner vehicles.
Work directly with the Partner Help Desk Representative to ensure partner needs/requests are addressed and documented.
Manage products to be wasted by identifying, staging, and assigning products to go out to farmers.
Train volunteers and Food Bank of the Rockies material handlers on procedures for Agency Dock, Fresh Food Center, cleaning, and frozen/cooler pre-picked cart process.
Participate in physical inventory for all products.
Responsible for the customer service of the Fresh Food Center along with quality control of products.
Maintain warehouse according to Feeding America & Food Bank of the Rockies' sanitation and packing standards.
Gather, create, and implement metrics to measure processes and further the teams' efficiencies Communicate any equipment maintenance needs.
Assist Volunteer Operations with staging products and other volunteer shift needs.
Other duties as assigned.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position.
Work week is 40 hours, Monday through Friday and the occasional weekend.
Travel required occasionally.
